For my realistic image I chose to depict a simple landscape image based upon my own landscape photo I had taken. When adding the different elements to the image I wanted them simply for the purpose of adding depth, as not to distort what was already there. Having the background landscape as the original image acted as a pattern by which to follow. It created a perspective to work off of in which I knew all of my other images had to match in order to keep it believable. I had to crop out of the photo a road with cars driving past, which in the original image was a nice element, but when put into the collage made it difficult to keep with the perspective and a believable ratio of size of the objects in the image. For the objects in the background I used a layer mask to create a hazy view that allows for a believable change in depth or distance for those objects, while the closer objects I chose to keep the brightest.
